Michael  D. Badger  

Michael D. Badger is the founder of Badger Legal Group and has focused his practice as an employment litigator and employment counsel to private and public employers. Mr. Badger specializes in discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, and employment contract claims as well as developing and implementing employment policies and employment contracts.

Mr. Badger serves as labor and employment litigation counsel for a variety of local and regionally based businesses. He has extensive experience in assisting clients in all stages of employment litigation from administrative agency representation through appellate practice. He has appeared before state and federal administrative agencies including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Massachusetts Appeals Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

Mr. Badger has been practicing litigation and employment law since 1994. He is licensed in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Virginia.

Mr. Badger is an active member of the Worcester County Bar Association, serving as Co-Chair of the Bench/Bar Day Committee and as a member of its Labor and Employment Section.   Mr. Badger is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Defense Research Institute. He served two terms as President of the Legal Assistance Corporation of Central Massachusetts' Board of Directors and continues as its representive on a regional legal services oversight committee.

Mr. Badger has regularly presented seminars on employment and business law issues to client groups including the Human Resources Management Association.  Recent presentations have focused on FMLA and ADA leave issues, disability accommodation practices, third-party sexual harassment claims, religious discrimination issues and updates on developing issues in employment litigation.
